The Littleleaf Boxwood is a dense, compact shrub that is ideal for hedging and privacy. This broad-leaved evergreen shrub forms a rounded shape and tolerates shearing. Bright green leaves. Used as a hedge, it can frame a formal garden or walkway. Also used in topiary.
When choosing a location, keep in mind that the Littleleaf Boxwood has a slow growth rate. Grows up to 6 feet in height and 4 feet in spread. It can be planted in zones 4 to 9. It prefers sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.
How To Start These Seeds:
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: Cold stratify for 30 days
Germination: Sow seed 1/8 inch deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
